Hi it's Peter here aka welovetomine/leangreen76,
I go by many internet names but to kick things off as new members may or may not join, here is a little about myself in relation to the message board.
Currently I am 43 years old and began playing Minecraft when I was 34 years old, back in Java edition: Alpha v1.1.2_01. I bought the game on September 27th having been introduced to it whilst at a friends house. It was actually this friend who found it first and introduced me to the game, although I would be the one to stick with it. We both loved the simplicity and being able to craft and create things whether that be buildings or just going exploring. Especially when wandering around in a snowy area and slowly the music starts to fade in, so relaxing - so peaceful. When I returned home I bought the game the same night as it was at a low cost and fell in love with it and have never stopped since. The second world I created back then (Actually third but the second I actually kept) found me making a home inside a mountain over 8 & 1/2 years ago and I'm still updating the world and continuing to play it to this day.
Growing up in the 1980's, my gaming started off with a simple wooden paneled console you plugged into the back of the tv to play Pong! From there I got a Sinclair spectrum ZX81, but allegedly we "Couldn't find any games for it". The best I had to put up with was doing simple programs that made you be able to print your name or anything repeatedly down the screen. Going into what the USA folk would call high school, I had friends with computers and desperately wanted one, but alas, we were a single parent family so money was tight. It wasn't until college when I was making my own money that I got myself a console - The Sega Master System II with built in Sonic The Hedgehog, which I played to death, I also loved the Robocop Vs Terminator game for it which is one of my favourite games of all time. As time went on I got a SNES in the mid 90's whilst playing PC games on a friend'd newly bought PC (In the era of CD-ROM games) and loved many, many SNES games and eventually got a PSX1. Currently I have an old 2nd hand SNES, Nintendo 64 and an old PS3. I don't consider myself a big "Gamer", I have STEAM also but I just enjoy games and wouldn't ever consider myself a "Serious Gamer".
In 2002 whilst at another Internet message board for a community of something I gre up loving - The Transformers franchise, I create my first message board with this host, ProBoards. I created a sci-fi message board that encompassed all sci-fi rather than focusing on Star Trek or Star Wars and it ran successfully for 2 & /12 years, although it was dying out in the last half of the final years and ended up being deleted for a mistake I made. Later in that year I did make my own Transformers message board that continues to run till this day. I have also create a wildlife message board I was very fond off and briefly a 1980's forum. For the first 3/4 years I was still an in-experienced Admin of the forums with the first two but it has shown me how to run a community and be a lot more knowledgeable and better forum owner with 17 years of experience running various ProBoards message boards.
I am also from the UK, can be a bit nerdish, Bi and have a reluctant tenancy to be the typical British stereotype by drinking lots of cups of tea! No pets, part time job I'm not really fond off but I continually play this game we call Minecraft that I just can't seem to stop after almost 9 years!
