So in my 8 & 1/2 year old world, when I re-did the roofs back in 2015 I created a sort of flat pyramid kind of roof: Made to fit the shape of the top of the tower and going in around the corners so as not to get the "triangular effect" of roofs. Since then my roofs have changed in other areas and all day on/off I've been in my creative copy of the world and I think, I've got a new design I like. I tried a tutorial on tower roofs but they are skinny towers where mine are quite fat looking, I googled medieval roofs (Trying to ignore the minecraft ones to stay original by looking at actual/drawings/paintings/illustrations) but still I couldn't get nothing right, the trouble being trying to join each of the four sides up - diagonally. Finally I decided to try and free-hand it and used the concepts of an A-frame roof I.E doing stairs, then blocks then stairs upward.. Doing the in-between bits diagonally again has been a logistical nightmare for me, but I tried to follow the pattern whilst building it out diagonally, copying it on the other side and mirroring it was even worse! I did find however it was easier to correct mistakes from the inside of the top floor. And yes I did also improve window roofs & framing, balcony landings etc. Thoughts?
